Coach Hall Announces 2nd Annual Stop the Violence Book Bag Giveaway

ree

As the new school year approaches, the excitement is building, but so are the challenges many families face. Rising costs can make essential school supplies feel out of reach. More importantly, our community continues to grapple with the impacts of violence. That's why I'm proud to announce the 2nd Annual Stop the Violence Bookbag Giveaway!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 24th, 2025 From 12:00 PM (Noon) until 3:00 PM, The Ritz at 1201 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216, will be transformed into a hub of hope, support, and preparation.

More Than Just Backpacks: Investing in Our Future

This event extends far beyond simply distributing supplies. It's a powerful statement and a tangible commitment to the well-being of our children and our community.

  • 1. Equipping Students: Hundreds of FREE, brand-new bookbags filled with essential school supplies will be distributed to students in need across Charlotte, particularly focusing on District 2. Ensuring every child starts the school year with the tools they need is fundamental to their success and confidence.

  • 2. Stopping the Violence: The event's core mission is to foster peace and safety. By investing in our youth, providing positive community engagement, and offering resources, we actively work to break cycles of violence. Cuah Juanrique Hall believes firmly that supporting education and empowering families is one of the most effective forms of violence prevention.

  • 3. Building Community: This is a chance for neighbors, families, community leaders, and organizations to come together. Expect a vibrant atmosphere with:

Free Food & Refreshments: Fueling the fun and fellowship.

Family-Friendly Activities: Enjoy music, games, and entertainment for all ages.

Valuable Resources: Connect with local organizations offering support services for families.

Community Dialogue: An opportunity to connect, share concerns, and envision a safer, stronger future together.

  Commitment in Action

"As a candidate for CMS School Board District 2, my commitment isn't just about policy discussions; it's about direct action in our neighborhoods," says Hall. "The 'Stop the Violence Book bag Giveaway' embodies my core belief: we must meet the immediate needs of our children and address the root causes of community challenges. Education is the cornerstone, but it requires a holistic approach that supports families and fosters safe environments. This event is about showing up for our kids, easing the burden on parents, and loudly proclaiming that our community chooses hope and investment in our future over violence."
